Default ...Screwed it up...

i've got an autometer tach and it's got 4 wires coming out of the back
i need to double check what they are
white = tach signal
black = ground
red = accessory power
green = illumination

Is this all correct??

Thanks.

from what ive seen I believe the red is the tacg power the white is the accessory power and the black is the ground, dunno about the green. What kind of tach is it? Try attaching a 9 volt to each and see what happens...

well, I just got back from hooking it up (I had a buddy post this for me because I was down at the shop and couldn't get near a computer). I assumed that the way I thought the wires were was how it worked... No dice.

Now my traction control doesn't work and the tach doesn't work at all. I guess I have to rearrange the connections a bit. At least I have the ground right...

You have the green and white wires backwards. You may haev blown a fuse to the tach. Also it has to be (the tach) set up for a 4 cyl. engine

Here's a link to autometers directions http://hp.autometer.com/instruction_...tions/407j.pdf

hope this helps.
