I haven's been up to date on how good VATS is but it's a bitch to install remote starts around. So it's possible for someone to still steal it.

What to look for is a DAMN good place to hide it that won't be kicked or hit on accident. As far as installed, Talk to the owner and one of his better installers. Get them to sell you some ideas. If they don't sound like they know what they are talking about get out and find another place. Try to find a place that atleast installs alarms and remote start Installed.

It's pretty straight forward. Just put a Switch inline with the starter wire or Fuel pump relay. Just need to either stop the car from turnning over the starter or Kills power to the fuel pump.

I asked a local dealer and they said to go with an alarm. An alarm with a pager, so you know when the alarm has been set off. Installed for $175. Hes a friend, so hes not trying to sell me anything. Im getting it at wholesale. You think this is a good idea????

how would you wire in the switch for the fuel pump. I see a fuel pump relay and a fuel pump fuse in the under hood boxes. Is the fuse between the relay and pump, what wires activate the relay?

if the car is a M6 there is a clutch pedal switch wire. with a inline switch the car will not crank. Or on a auto there should be a park wire.

You can just put a switch on one of the wires running up the the fuel relay under the hood. There should be a red one there. Cut it, turn the car over and see how long it stays running that would be what its going to do if the switch is off.

There is a purple wire on the pass side of the engine compartment. It is hooked together with a plug, you can interrupt this wire with a relay & switch. It is very simple & cheap. This is the starter wire. This is what I did but an alarm may be more of a deterrence & avoid damage from an attemtped theft.
