Default Screwed up spedo

Well I installed a sound system and my being stupid forgot to cap off one of the unused wires on the head unit. Well this was causing all kinds off problems like blowing 2 different fuses. The one was for the gauges and the other was for the gauge light dimmer and the head unit. Well now i got it all fixed except for my spedometer. It is all the way to the right at the bottom like touching the notch of the steering column. I dont really know what is up with it but am assuming that i fried it somehow please inform me if this is happened to you and there is a way to fix it instead of replacing. TIA.

Pull the cluster out. Then hold it vertical and to the left to allow the needle to fall back to zero. Once it gets overcenter unless the vss signal is controlling it, it cannot autozero itself. After you do this re-install the cluster and chances are everything will be fine.
