CD Player Errors

CD Player Errors When I try to play a CD on the stock head unit in my 2000 Silverado, it reads "Err". I've tried it one 3 different CDs and 1 wasn't a CD-R or CD-WR. Could this be caused by something other than a bad head unit?

Just has a hard time reading the cd. Sometimes it needs cleaning.
For those of you using cdrs....
Use fuji cd-rs or compatable blue dye. Should clear up the issue.
