Pass Side Door Speaker wiring question I am in the middle of this upgrade on a 2001 Z28. I've got the driver's side speaker switched out and it sounds great. However, the stock wiring on the passenger side has different colors! I can't tell which wires are mid bass and which are tweeter. I have two choices. There is a Green and Purple set of wires, and a Orange and Turquoise set. Who knows which is which???

Take a battery (AA, AAA) and run a set of wires to the stock speaker. Touch one side of the wires to each side of the battery. Does the speaker move in or out? If it moves out then the wire that you have connected to the + side of the battery is the positive.

Im quite sure its comming from the amp. As for telling which wires is crossed over on which frequency...just take a test speaker (NOT A TWEETER) and test it out. Im sure you know, polarity is a big deal so make sure you get it right
