antenna mast install
antenna mast install So the mast on my power antenna got bent to hell, so I ordered a replacement mast because the motor still works. I took out the old mast, but the because the mast was so badly bent, the little teeth that the motor uses to move the antenna up and down were not attached to the antenna mast anymore (they are supposed to come out with the antenna mast). I looked down in the hole and can't see the track/teeth, so I opened up the back, removed the back panel and looked behind the spare tire, I still can't find the track/teeth (not to say its not in there, but I couldn't see it). So I was wondering if you guys thought the teeth were still running through the motor or if they somehow just dropped out of the motor somewhere inside the fender. If they dropped out, thats fine, then I can still install the antenna mast with the new track/teeth....but if they are still running through the motor I guess i'm probably screwed? unless there is some way to remove them. Let me know. thanks.
alright, so I figured out that part.......now when I run the new cable through the motor, it lowers the antenna, but not all the way, there seems to be some extra cable that isn't being used but the directions don't say anything about trimming it and I'm afraid to trim it.
