Default IPOD mini Dock in Car?

Hey I got an Ipod mini, and the base for it that is designed just to like hold your ipod next to your computer. But because it has an audio output, and the plug for charging/info, I was thinking that maybe I could use it in my car. So here is my plan, plug the car charger (the end that goes into the ipod) into the base, and then run the Icable (Monster cable that is an RCA to mini cable), from audio out on the back of the base, to the rca inputs on the auxiliary input on my pioneer headunit. So I guess the only thing I'm concerned about working, is can I plug my car charger into the back of the Ipod base? Oh btw in case you are confused about which base I am referring to its this one http://store.apple.com/1-800-MY-APPL....0.1.1.0.1.0.3

Thanks guys

why not just use the fm modulator from best buy, and then you don't have to worry about wires. just my 2 cents.

Depending on which model Pioneer head unit you have, those RCAs at the back are probably not for auxiliary input - they're output for subs. Most Pioneer units use their special ip bus connector to connect auxiliary input.

The FM modulator sucks ***. IMO, I'd rather have something like the Music Keg. I've got a double din Kenwood head unit, and it'd be pretty cool to store 20 gigs or mp3's and be able to view the file names on the head unit.

Ive worked with car audio a long time so A) my RCA plugs are for an Auxiliary input B) Apparantly Ipod interface will only work with 2005+ pioneer models C) I bought the Griffin Itrip, and it blows.
