Monsoon question

Does anyone know if the radio controls in my steering wheel in my 2000 SS will work with a head unit out of a 1999 Z28?

My car for some reason came with a tape deck and I want a CD head unit. I found one but it is out a 99 Z.

Any insight would be great.

Yes, the steering wheel control wiring was the same in all years of LS1 f-bodies and the head units were all steering wheel control capable even if the car didn't come with that option.
