Default kicker 12

Has anyone attempted to put a kicker solo-baric l7 12" behind the seat of a reg. cab truck? I read that they need a max of 3 cubic feet air space. Anyone think you could cram it back there and make a longer box for air space?

You could build a sealed enclosure that is about 1 cu ft and have it play quite well. Although it could use a bit more like up to 2 cu ft...

A ported enclosure is anywhere from 1.75 to 3.25 cu ft.

So with that said, you have choices, just see what kind of space you can make for it. If your good ,I don't see why you couldn't get at least 2 cu ft using some fiberglass and MDF.

Yup you can make it work. The L7 works well in a pretty wide range like described above.

It will depend on how tall you are and were the seat sit for normal driving to determine how large you can make it. Id say to shoot for 1.75-2.0 cu.ft to have good lower extension.

They make nice enclosures for Extended cabs, BUT they usually can work make an enclosure like you want for you. I would give them a call and see what they might be able to do for you.

the 3 ft are space is for a ported box. and yes I built a ported box for a 12 in my truck. it can be done but if your not a good carpenter and know how to build ported boxes then don't. it's eases to just build a seald box as they need practicaly no air. btw don't stick your sub on the drivers side you'll understand if you see one in one.

I have a 10" L7 ina ported box ~1.75cf. There is room for at least 2 cf there without pushing the seat to much forward.

As Richie said, you can make it work. Make sure to stick the power to those L7s because they are power hungry
