That's the Center Seat. The Top flips up to provide a 3rd seat type deal. Pretty Common in today's trucks. He doesn't sit on it. A potential Pass. does

I've heard somewhere that a resonant frequency of 18Hz will get things 'wet'. Testing this theory proved unsuccessful however. Further speculation suggests adjusting the amplitude and frequency. Will report on findings as they develop.
