Question new system.....

ok, i just orderd the t-top box from sub thump. rite now i have 2 AW1200Q audiobahn subs which im going to sell and get 2 MTX 5500 12" subs. is this a good idea? and what would be a good amp to power these subs? rite now i have a (pos) boss 1500W mono amp. how would it sound with that amp? or should i just go ahead and get a 600x2 mtx amp? thanks

Ryan

why would you get an amp that pushes 600w x 2, when the recommended RMS power handling on the MTX Thunder 5500's is 150-300 watts? hopefully you meant that 300w x 2 channels = 600w total?

and if it's a choice between using your existing Boss amp or getting an MTX amp, get the MTX....Boss sucks.

maybe one of These Thunder5601 Class D Mono Subwoofer Amps to power a pair of 12" 4Ω SVC (Single Voice Coil) Thunder 5500's wired in parallel.
