cd changer
cd changer well my car doesnt have one, its a 98, and i was wondering if i do purchase one is the wiring already there or will i have to wire it up? i want to get the stock one off another camaro or trans am on ebay or whatever.

I'm pretty sure they didn't start including the wiring harness until later in the '99 model build years. Pretty much all f-bodies after late 99 had the harness just sitting there tucked away inside that trunk liner panel on the driver's side.
I don't think 98s have the wiring harness as well. But you can check if you want. It is located here, open the back hatch and on the driver side feel around underneath the sub on that side. Feel for a little foam thing. It was very obvious on mine.
Best way to know is if your tape player has an AUX button. If it does, you have the wiring in the driver's side area near the hatch. Very easy to find once you take the plastic paneling off (near speaker). If not, then you are out of luck, just change the head unit.

The 98's do have the harness (mine does). But you must have the tape player or a 99+ cd player, in order to use it in a 98. The 98 cd player will not allow the aux (source) button to work with the changer.
