Pioneer and Steering Wheel Controls
Pioneer and Steering Wheel Controls Hey there I have an 02 WS6 and was thinking about replacing the monsoon deck with a Pioneer I have. I was wondering if I have to get that certain part to keep my steering wheel controls or if will work since it has an infared remote. I think i read somewhere that aftermarket decks will work with the factory steering wheel controls if that have an infared remote. Let me know if im wrong or what? Thanx Ben
Check this out, i use one with my pioneer premier 8600. it uses and infrared eye like a remote control but works off the steering wheel controls. its really the only option, although i think pioneer has their own system that will tap into steering wheel controls. it hooks up to a purple wire with black stripe on the harness if i remember correctly. dont quote me on that one though...
