Question anti theft help

anyone can give me a hand with hooking up a anti theft switch? Like a toggle switch to cut off the ignition .that way the car can't be started unless yopu flip the switch first.there have been a lot of Camaros stolen from around town lately all of them were driven off! anyone do this before or have a link that will giude me through it?

Wink Good info here

Look at the diagram and where it says from alarm out take that to any switch you want to take to it ground.
There are lot's of ways to do this PM me if you need more info

That would work if the factory alarm had a "ground when armed" output. Unfortunately, the factory alarm is entirely self-contained in the BCM and has no external alarm armed output (except the LED of course).

man talk about back from the dead lol. But if you could cut out the fuel or ignition it would be better. If the crook turns the key and nothing happens he might start looking for a switch but if the engine turns over and makes a racket he might not want to hang around lol

Simple,you have a M6.Find the switch mounted above the clutch pedal......the car won't start unless the clutch is pushed in which pushes in the switch! Put your kill switch in series with that wire.Now the clutch has to be pushed in AND the switch has to be on!Good Luck.
