Cd changer problem

Cd changer problem Hey all, recently my 12 disc changer randomly stopped working. I load up all the discs in the changer and close it and i can hear it start to read the cds then the headunit just says error. The cds wont play at all no matter how many times i try to load them. Any ideas?

This may sound foolish but it's always best to check the simple things first - you are loading the discs upside-down, right? The factory changer is the only one I've ever seen that loads the discs with the label side down.
Other than that, it sounds like the changer itself is on its way out unless you would have some reason to suspect that the cable has come loose (installed other accessories where the cable might have been disturbed).

One thing I've aways had a problem with is if i'm using burned CD's that are of cheap quality my changer won't read them. You might make sure you have one good store bought CD in there and see if that works.

Yea i think its probly best to just get rid of it. Its always been a pain in the *** to load, took two or three tries to get it to read all the discs without giving an error before. So now that it isnt reading them at all, **** IT IM DONE
