Are you going to use an amp to JUST power the Sub? Is so, look for a mono or 2ch. amplifier. Look for it to have good power output into either a 1 ohm load or 4 ohm load.
Just search for some good brands and you'll find alot that can do 250-300 in a 4 ohm load. Just choose one that looks good to you and is a name brand.
Run a few past us and we'll let you know what's a good choice or a bad choice.
Here is a slide that shows the set-up of the signal chain.

Your going to want a 2-channel amp running in bridged mode (Or 4-channel using two of the channels in bridged, same thing) OR a 1-ohm stable single channel amp. That's it. Anything else would be a waste of money.

1-channel amp

Use wiring diagrams above to wire to 4 ohms for 2-channel amp or 1 ohm for 1-channel amp.

DOUH. Woops. 1 letter off. Oh well. 250-300 would work fine with this too. Max rms is 500w and 1500w peak. So look for up to a 500w amplifier. Everything else I posted follows along the same, the power handeling is the only different thing.
