1.Stock Head unit (Monsoon with tape cassette because I use a portable
20GB hard drive/MP3 player with a tape adapter. I know, not the best but sounds terrific enough)
2.Replaced door speakers with the Alpine SP 170A's (mid base runs off monsoon amp and tweeters runs off head unit.)
3. The GMC-12C PAC unit for line out to subwoofer amp.
4. I built my own stealthbox with 10" sub and made my own AMP rack. Thanks to your links to subthump, I was able to mimmick their designs by picture. Cost me under 35.00 to make both pieces. Here are pics:

My best bud and I installed the AMP, subwoofer and capacitor last night.
I used an SPL 10" 1200W DVC sub (550W RMS) and a SoundStorm 2 channel 1200 Watt AMP in Bridged Mono. WOW!!!!! does this little sub hit hard!!.
I will have pictures up tonight of the finished product.

The Blue RCA cable and Red Power Cables have to be extended so I can hide them completely. Just made it this way with the AMP kit cable lengths. Just not long enough. But other than that, all done and working great.
Time to wash her up and vacuum!!
Thanks again everyone!! You helped more than you know.

The car is already fast, and I've done every bolt on thing to the engine that I could. I love music just as much as I love a good exhaust note. When my engine needs work done to it or when I blow it, then I'll spend the money for more performance mods. I like a little bit of everything.
I built the box close to specs. I made it enough so i can install it behind the rear bench seat when rear window closed. I accomplished this but decided to put it in the t-top area when not using the t-tops. But I had to make a little box, to sit just above the t-top inserts. And it hits louder it seems, with the sub facing the rear windshield then behind the rear seats.
The cool thing is when I want to take off the t-tops, I just place the speaker box behind the rear bench seat and the t-tops go in the storage area.
The amp, I have on the driver side area where people put there stealth sub box.
I havn't gotten it carpeted yet. But I plan on putting ebony on the front side where the sub is, so it matches the enterior when I put the box behind the rear seats and while using the t-top storage area.
Keep in mind that I will carpet the sub box, and yes, I know, it looks cheap. But I made the box and it sounds great, so I got lucky.
Well heres the pictures.

Who built your box?

Got-V8 that is cool I bet it wouldnt be hard to just screw a box onto the cover is it possible anyone?
