Subs for jl e6450 amp?
Alpine Type R, and Type S
Rockford Fosgate Punch, HE, HE2, HX2
Kicker Comp, Comp VR and now L5,L7 solobarics
MTX T6000/T8000, Image Dynamics ID10,
Boston Acoustics
Elemental Designs 10s. E10ks and their new v series 10s.www.edesignaudio.com
Practically all 10s will work in this box, but we found that these are the best quality and perform the best.
JL 10w3v2 and 10w6v2 will also fit.
Channels 5&6 will be used for the sub.
Does a 2ohm dual voice coil speaker mean it's 2 ohms at each coil?
5&6 are 4ohm stable brideged or 2ohm per channel. I'm guessing with a DVC speaker I would connect each coil to a channel and not bridge it, correct?
Is this amp going to push these subs nicely?
which subs would be best for this amp?
Thanks everyone.
With channels 1-4 being driven 5&6 still put out 363watts into 4ohms bridged. So does this mean that a DVC 2ohm speaker with channel 5 going to one coil and channel 6 going to the other would recieve around 363 watts total. I would assume so since you would get 181 watts per channel at 2ohms per channel that way. correct?
The JL 10w3v2 is 2ohms per voice coil right? so that one would be perfect, and would match my power output very well.

However, with a sub that has dual 2ohm VC's, you can put the coils in series to give you a 4ohm mono load. Problem solved. 363W is plenty for a single 10"
"363W is plenty for a single 10"
That depends on the sub though of course. That's why I chose the 10w3 and not the 10w6, it matches my amps output better. I'd rather over power a sub than under power it. Better sound I would think.
