Default Aftermarket speakers?

Hey everyone, just looking for a little advice on some speakers for my 98Z. I am leaning toward Alpine type S. I had tried a set of Monsoons off the parts board, but they were blown. I don't want to do that again so I really want to go new this time. Anyone had any luck with some good or bad speakers? Any advice? And no, I was not blessed with a Monsoon system. Thanks, Justin.

Hey man, check they FAQ's in the Stereo and Electronics forum. You have to be careful which speakers you go with. It' s not just a "plug and play" installation, it involves splicing. There is a VERY good how-to write-up on installing them. They recommend Alpine SPS-170 A speakers for the doors, and I went with Pioneer TS-G1040R speakers for tge hatch. Holding off on the subs for the moment.
