They are overly expensive. But, they are the first 2-0hm 6.5" speakers I've run across on the web.
Why 2ohm, just curious, and have you heard a set yet? I have been toying around with the above HLCD's for my next project........shhhh, don't tell Memphis (lol)

My thoughts are to upgrade in 2 steps.
Step 1: Upgrade speakers leaving stock HU, Amp and harness in place.
Step 2: Replace Amp and wiring. Adding a true subwoofer.
While, there are far superior head units than stock, I wanted to keep the stock look of my 35th LE. I just don't think a 1 DIN HU looks good in the space designe for 1.5 DIN unit.
I hadn't even thought about doing any audio upgrades until my right door speaker blew. I have the Alpines recommended in the FAQ on order. I'm going to try those first, even though they are 4 ohm. I might just get the CX62's for the sail penels, later. If the Alpines work out well.
Probably, the cheapest way to begin w/o major swap-outs.
Good luck on your project, and let us know how it works out if you go that route. You can always get a trim plate (panel) that are also attractive.
Heck, I've even seen FAKE OEM HU covers overlaying the aftermarket HU, and you would never know exept on close inspection. Just another thought for you based on your comments.

You'll have to scroll down a bit to find the CXS62's.
They also have the CX62's for $129.
