Down Firing Box I have 2 12's in a poorly made rectangle box. I am either going to buy or build a box. I have noticed if I aim my speakers like everyone elses they just sound ok but if I aim the box down in the hole they hit soo hard it knocked my mirrror off

Any one know of plans on building a down firing box or someone else who built one or where I can buy one that does'nt cost more than my car is worth?

Browse that site. The guy that wrote that up is quite experienced and has a firm grasp of the physics of Sound reproduction.
As far as where to buy one? Not sure. If you can build something, I would give it a try. It's not that hard to do, but you'll need the tools to do it. Drill, Circular saw, Jig saw, drill bits, Ruler/tape measure.

I have built several boxes but I am not real good with a lot of angles. Thank God for silicone and carpet

If I'm reading your post correct you're creating sort of a bandpass enclosure by aiming your speakers down into the cargo area... it won't be a perfect seal obviously. It's all in physics and box design. That's why I run like 300W of power to 2 12" subs with a good box instead of trying to force a shitty box and setup to sound good with 1500W of power.

From what I can tell its just a regular box with the sub reversed. If you do decide to do this make sure to reverse the polarity on ALL backwards firing subs. There is no DB gain from doing this, it is strictly for aesthetic purposes
