Default voltage regulator wire

ok when removing the old alternator i tore the little red wire (voltage regulator signal i think) that plugs into the alternator.. IS IT OK THAT I CRIMPED IT AND ADDED AN EXTENSION ON TO IT OR WILL THIS SCREW SOMETHING UP?

Yea The Wire Is Twisted Together And Crimped On Top.. Also I Used A Slightly Bigger Wire To Do The Rest Of The Run And Zipped Tied It So It Could Nt Happen Again
