no, unless you have the monsoon stereo you shouldnt have anything to bypass... i dont even think it was avail. then... and yes, 6.5"s should fit all the way around.
food for thought: check out the STICKYs at the top of this forum. they will give you much needed info about changing out the stock stereo, even in an LT1.

I'm fairly sure the Monsoon system wasn't available in the '94 model year. There was a Bose Premium sound system before Monsoon, but I'm not up to speed on what that consisted of or whether is was used in the '94 T/A.
