Bazooka tube in a 'vert? I'd like more bass (stock Monsoon 
), but don't want to lose any (usable) trunk space. Has anyone ever mounted a bazooka tube on the "shelf" in the trunk (not the well)?

You could do it with a 6.5" unit, but of course you need to be very careful that the plane defined by the plastic devider is not intefered with. If you put something beyond where the devided was, you risk breaking the glass when the top is lowered.
You'd want the tube positioned with the port as near as possible to one side or the other. There is a small crevice where sound can get out, even witht the top down.
It will work very well with the top up, but top down you will lose most of the bass.
Not all, but most. You really have to put a lot of work into getting real bass in a convertible.
