Default stealthbox 10W3v2, which amp?

I'm looking to get a JL stealtbox, which has a JL 10W3v2 sub in it. But I don't know what amp I should get to power it. I kinda want to get a JL amp as well, so the options from them are either the "slash series" 250/1 or 500/1 or else the "e series" e1200 or e1400. I went to my local car audio store, and they said to go with the 500/1, but it's double the price of the 250/1. I don't know much about stereo equipment, and I'm not looking for an amazing setup. I just want to add a little more bass to the factory monsoon stereo.
What amp are you guys using with your stealthbox? Should I get a JL amp or a different brand?
Thanks.

I am using the MTX6500D and work well with my stealthbox. The amp has changed model numbers and is the 801D. This is 400x1@4 Ohms and 800x1@2 Ohms.

So what would be the proper amp to power the 10" stealthbox, as in how much watts does it need?

A 250/1 would be a fantastic combination, however an e1200 would work great as well. The main difference is the RIPS system on the slash series amps. That gives you a regulated power supply. If cost is a concern, the e1200 will work great and you will be able to find them a little cheaper within the next few months since the JL e-series will be replaced with the a-series. Not much more than a cosmetic upgrade and a few things from the slash series. Hope that helps.

ok, thanks. The salesman at my local store said that the 250/1 wouldn't be enough for a single 10w3, and that I need the 500/1. But I think I'll go with the 250/1, which is like half the price of the 500/1.
