OK, since this thread seems to have risen from the dead... I checked the Camaro parts manual and there is a plate that has two switch holes and is ebony in color. It is designed to hold the automatic headlight leveler and convertible top switches on an export vehicle so you might have trouble finding one. The part number is 10411286.

It probably would still be easier to get the Firebird panel and paint it. The Firebird plate number is 10280611 (charcoal color). The Camaro convertible top switch is part number 10402721 - at least you'll know that it will match the interior (rather than the light gray switch used in Firebirds).

OK, "raising a thread from the dead" is reserved for threads that are actually old. This one is like 2 months. What, were you born yesterday?

Sorry, I'm getting to that age where anything before this morning's breakfast seems like a long time ago.

Hey, do you know if the Camaro ASR and fog light switch will fit into the Firebird switch plate or will they need to be modified and then glued into it? I'm just wondering if it would be easy to relocate them down there or a tricky custom job.

I think the Camaro ASR and fog light switches are smaller than the openings in the lower plate (whether you get the Camaro one or the Firebird one). The lower switches are about 3/4" wide and 1.5" tall. Also, the lower switches mount vertically but the ASR and fog light switches mount horizontally - not a problem but the labeling will be cockeyed.
