Default amp mounting question..??

Mounting at the top of the rear hump, do I need to worry about drilling into the top of the gas tank...checked for clearance and it seems to be very close, like a finer tips length or so.

What you want to do is get a piece of cardboard and make a template of the rear hump. Get a piece of plywood and have it cut and fitted to the top of the hump. Carpet the plywood and drill your amp to the wood.
