Just Picked up TA - Basic Stereo Question
Anyways, to get back to my point here - I am going to go ahead and do all my installations while the car is sitting here in the garage. I am on the stereo now, and I already have my Pioneer 8600MP deck that I'll be usuing in place of the factory headunit. That brings me to the factory moonson and speakers. I am not sure if I would yield better results and sound control by utilizing the moonsoon amp and getting appropiately matched speakers, or would I be better off to just run new wires and put new speakers in the front/mid (Sail Panels?) that run directly off of the deck? I like the deck because I can use basically stock speakers and then adjust all the filters to make them still sound clean when turned up loud. Oh yeah, and BTW I have 2 Kicker Comp Vr 12's for bass, so I dont care about getting bass/low end out of the interior speakers. So, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! If you want good sound I would stay away from the monsoon amp. I think the aftermarket amps are much cleaner not to mention more powerful.
As far as brands go it's up to you, go listen to what you can afford, and pick the ones you like best. Alot of people like the MB Quarts, Focals, Diamonds, It all hinges on your budget. I used the infinity kappas, not too much money, not junk either. I am quite happy with the set-up. Still tweakin' it though.
Good luck, and remember the search button is your friend!
