Question where is there space in the firewall

I'm hooking a system up to my 98Z and I need to find a place in the firewall on the driver's side where I can run the power wire through to the fusebox...no the wire wire won't fit on the battery, I already tried. so i need to find a space in the firwall to route the power wire through. any ideas?

There is an adapter that you connect to your battery cable, that has a seperate bolt to hold a ring terminal, works with any size wire. Then you can use the hole on the passenger side, behind the pcm. The adapter replaces the the lead (led) insert in the positive wire, that connects to the battery, and they are usually gold plated.

Go to Parts Express and get the GM side post extensions manufactured by Streetwires. The part number is 263-633 and get them for both posts. I am using these and the posts and long enough to accommodate multiple power wires. What size power wire are you trying to install?

You want to have the power wire come off the battery for amps, messing with the fuse box is asking for problems. If the power wire came with a connector already on it, cut it off and get one that would fit on the battery and make sure you put a inline fuse(what size depends on how big your amp is) I run a 60 amp fuse about a foot away from the battery connnection. On the passenger side there is a hole you can run them through with a rubber plug. is under the pcm...have to pull carpet down a little inside the car to get to it easy..
