I hooked up a audiovox all in one dvd console last night in my wife's Yukon.

I bought it used, it didn't come with a remote or wireless headphone. It is in great condition and has a great picture.

BUT........ I have NO SOUND.


I pushed the FM button and it say FM CH.5 89.9. I tuned the radio to the station and nothing.

but I can figure out how the change the station....

I looked the unit up and it says it has a wireless FM module.

Any Idea's on what it could be?

Do I need the remote???

did you check other forms of sound...like cd, dvd, etc...

 

No, I didn't check a cd, But It has two regular headphone jack plug ins and they didn't work, also tried running rca cords from a output into a small tv and no sound or picture.

I spoke with audiovox techs, and they said I might need to hard wire a FM mod. for any and all sound to work, But they could not figure out why the headphones (plug in or wireless) wouldn't work.

I've ordered a FM Mod. and I'll try it when it comes in, but Audiovox said it would be a flat fee of $250 to send it in and they would fix any problems and ship it back.-- That's not two bad of a price.
