Alarm/headlight question

Default Alarm/headlight question

I could have sworn when i first picked up this TA the headlights didn't pop up when i locked and unlocked the doors, but now they do, and one of the motors need a new gear i guess cause it makes that damn noise after it goes down. But are the lights supposed to go up and then back down when you lock and unlocked the doors? And is there any way to make it stop that crap? Right now i pulled the headlight motor fuses so i wouldn't have to put up with that ****, but if i drive at night, i gotta put the fuses back in,
