Constant hot wire? For gauges.....

Constant hot wire? For gauges..... I need a wire that stays constant hot, that won't break connection when the engine cranks for my boost gauge. I'm hoping theres something back behind the HU that I can splice into since I'll already be there for illumination. If thats not an option, I know I can use the drivers side fuse panel, though I'm not sure which port there stays constant hot. Any and all help is appreciated.

The port labeled BATT in the fuse panel is always hot and is put there by GM specifically for aftermarket accessories. Be sure to add your own fuse because that port is only protected by a fusible link.
The orange wire in the factory radio harness is also always hot (it's for the radio memory) but it's designed for low current only so be careful if you use it.
