Default Many problems!

Since I pulled the dash and put it back in my gauge cluster isnt working, all the pins in the back are good and it plugs in fine but nothing works. My trunk button doesnt work. My rear tail lamps dont work when the lights are turned on....brake lights and turn signal work when lights arent on. Any fuses I try to replace blow instantly!!! What the hell is going on? Any help will be greatly appreciated!

i was just driving over to a friends and noticed every damn light on the dash is out, the whole dash, the only light that works is the ASR light and the seatbelt light. The plug on the cluster is fine. i have tried different clusters and none of them work. It has to be something else causing this big mess.

Can you take a step back and explain how exactly you got here?

By pulled the dash did you literally tear out the whole thing? Some better background might help people aim you in the right direction. Sounds like you got a real mess and there's note enough information here to even get started.

not sure if this is applicable but when i had my miata i did the indiglo gauges and when i pulled my cluster out i accidently tore the printed circuit in the back a little. that messed up everything. I had to delicately use wires to complete the broken circuits and then electrical tape everything up really good. if there is a circuit on ours then maybe you did that? otherwise it sounds like you have a grounded wire somewhere, what were you messing with to take your dash out?

I took the dash out to take out the passengers side airbag, nothing else.

I know exactly how you feel. I was following the directions in the sticky about changing hvac and cluster lighting to LED. While i was replacing my HVAC lights with t1.5 leds i had to break the old ones to get them out, put the new ones in and then checked. Bang no hvac lights or instruments. my warning lights work as well as blinkers but thats it. I used a multimeter and there is no power to the yellow and grey wires there. Anyway my whole under dash and radio hvac is all tore out looking for wiring problem any help would be a help.
