There are two different flashers for the hazards and the turn signals. Are you sure you replaced the correct one? The turn signal flasher is clipped to the under side of the dash just to the right of the opening when you take out the knee panel under the steering column. The hazard flasher is to the left of the opening.

If both sides stopped working and you have checked the bulbs and the fuse (you did check the fuse didn't you?) then the flasher is the most likely problem. It is remotely possible that the switch is the problem but it would be unlikely for both sides to quit at the same time.

Both flashers look exactly the same (so you'll know what you're looking for). Remove the knee panel under the steering column (I believe you use a 7mm socket) and run your hand along the inside edge on the right hand side of the opening. You will find the turn signal flash in a spring clip attached to the back side of the panel right beside the opening about halfway down.
