trouble getting radio out?

I started to take out my stock radio getting ready to put in a new one this weekend. However after I unbolt and slide it out it gets stuck and I can't get behind it to take out the wires. It looks like its hung up on the drivers side but I can't get my hand up behind the dash to try to move the wires. Has anyone encountered this problem? I also tried to take the panel under the steering wheel off but it was hung up also but I think I have to take of the top piece off.

Any help would greatly appreciated.

When I removed mine the first time I had the same problem. The wires are hung up. You may be able to reach it from under the glove-box. I managed to get a hand under the head unit are move the wires, but it did take some time fiddling with it.

Just keep fiddling, you should be able to sneak your hand back there if careful. My fat *** and patients were slim and I just kept pulling till it snapped the wires loose (dont recommend this though).
