glassing the driver side for sub I want to build my own enclosesure for the MTX 10" sub.
can't I just remove the interie piece (piece of thin carpet) and just cover it with fiberglass resin, glass the top then use a piece of wood to hold the sub for the front?
What I have noticed is this enclosesure would be much smaller than what MTX recommends for box size (12X12) how will this effect the sound quailty?
I kinkof like this idea reducing the build time.

I wouldnt do it.
Putting that speaker in the correct airspace is worth the extra time and space.
I also would not use the car as a box as the car flexes and the top will crack and not seal well at all.
