I am looking for a write up or info on exactly how to do this mod. I recieved mine in the mail today...installing it tomorrow. I need to know how to install the shift light in my 95 bird. I'd like to keep all wire splicing in the car if possible. I'd rather not use alot of wire, along with not wanting to go through the firewall and tap into the pcm. thnx guys.

Got the shift light installed today. Now I'm having a bit of a problem...my light comes on at 3k rpm not at the 5.8k that I set it at. What is the problem? Also what are the cylinder settings on the shift light for an lt1?

Finally got it worked out. thx guys.
I tapped into the tach wire near the pcm, grounded it near the glove box, finally used an "add-a-fuse" to get power from my wipers. Shift light works like a charm now. I'm shocked at how off the tach needle is, cause I set the shift light for 5.8k and the tach needle reads a little past 6k before the light comes on...huh!
