Line Converter/Remote Wire Hook-Up
Line Converter/Remote Wire Hook-Up I am adding an amp to my monsoon so i gotta use a line converter and just hook my remote up to the lovely pink wire in the harness lol. Would the best way be to use what they call a vampire clip to clamp my converter wires and remote wire onto so i dont have to cut and splice them or is it more efficient to splice??
Since nobody has replied I will mention how did my remote turn-on. In the fusebox in the car there is a "stereo" fuse. I tapped into this fuse with 18 gauge wire and used this for my remote turn-on. The way the amp stays on as long as the radio is on (i.e. 10 minute delay after turning off car or until a door is opened).
For the LOC, I would just tap into the wires as they lead into the Monsoon amp. Remove some of the outside of the wire going to the monsoon and solder to that a wire that will lead to your LOC.
