Default help getting video camera to work with computer

i have a panasonic pv-l354d palmcorder it uses vhsc tapes. heres the question is it possible to transfer the videos to my computer. the camcorder has no usb port . the av cable has the end that plugs into the camera like a headphone would and then one white and one yellow on the other ends. im not a computer genius but smart enough to follow direction if someone knows of a data cable or converter that i could use . also will i need some kind of program to do this other than the normal media player stuff. the camera works great just not sure if its too outdated going to the track and want to make videos to post so if someone could help i would be greatful thanks in advance

There are several converters you can buy to do what you want.
If you can install a card in your computer you can pick up a cheap TV tuner card which will do what you want, or you can get a USB2 or firewire device which will do the same thing.

I have used this card with good results

Dazzle also makes these devices I believe.
