amp decisions? 2 choices Well im going to be running a type r 10. I currently have an alpine vpower amp rated @ 300 rms. It'll be fine for now but when i want more, which amp do i get?

clipping, yes, but the sub says form 50 -500 rms. That' swhy i was thinking 400 would be fine. I guess I'll overpower it then. and maybe if i get this job i applied for, i'll get the spare tire well sub box and another type r 10 and run a mrd m1005. That would be awesome. 1's good for now.

400 watt amp would be fine. You said the sub is rated at 50-500 watts rms. Subwoofer manufactures reccomend that you run the sub at atleast 75% of the rms rating. With saying that an amp in the 375-500 range is gonna be your best bet. Underpowering by 100 watts is safer than overpowering by 100 watts, although you can turn the amp gains down. RMS is how many watts the sub can handle repeatdly, and I really wouldent go over what the manufacture reccommends. My .02
