Help with factory cdplayer!!!

Hey guys....just a quick question....my cd player screen when i first start it up is all jumbled...it takes a while then it acts right....I noticed at night when it dims, sometimes it gets even dimmer, like it wants to go out.....well tonight it did....the screen goes blank....if i hit around it it flickers back on but goes back off after a few seconds.....what could this be?

It is a common problem with the monsoon head units - it is due to bad connections in the display. I'm 99% sure if you search here and google you will find some images and walkthroughs of the problems.

If you are handy with electronics and soldering, you can fix it. A knowledgeable repair shop will also know what to do. Otherwise it is time for an upgrade or to find a used unit.
