problem with start up

problem with start up well here it is... i have a 98 trans am .... i turn the key to start the car.. my fuel pump doesnt come on.... so i bypassed that to a relay with switch.. its a a1000 pump... now that problem is fixxed.. but i try to turn the car on again. then i dont get any reading of batt power on dash. then turn key again. and the doors open locks and close. car starts then shuts off .... does anybody know whats the problem?
