cd player trouble!

cd player trouble! i have the stock monsoon headunit (cd player) and it wont play cds.....it says Err and blinks the time every once in a while.....it also sounds like it thinks there is a cd in it, it makes the noise like if you put a cd in or it is ejecting it? whats the problem here? 
What type of cd is it that your trying to play? Mine used to do the same thing with certain burned cd's. If its a MP3 cd the cd player will spit it out and say EEr or error since it cant read it.
You might want to get one of those cleaning cd's to clean the head unit out, they do get alot of dust etc in them after awhile.

yea they are burnt cds....but my battery died and now it works fine pretty weird but i a going to get one of those cleaning cds anyways it cant hurt to clean it thank you for the help anyways guys! -dave-
