Need some help on this Well what I'm wanting to do is replace the 6.5's in the rear with the 8" Rockford Fosgate speakers (http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAu...roductID=15613)
I would presume I'd more than definintely need a new HU other than the stock monsoon (because of the fact the guy I bought the car from tossed the stock amp and wired everything up to the HU).
so would the Alpine cda-9856 work for me in this case?
Would I need to buy an amp for these 8's?
What/ if any fabrication would I have to do to make this stuff work?

Depends.. are you adding subs? if so do you just want highs from the speakers? just highs you should be fine with a good head unit, if your going to want some bass from the speakers id add an amp or it will get distorted, but you wont ever get great bass from those speakers... 6x9's will produce decent bass on an amp, it all depends on your application and what kind of music you listen too

Well, as far as subs go, I would just be replacing those 6.5's in the sail's with the 8" rockford fosgate subs. As far as music, Anything from Blue's-Rap-Heavy Metal.
So, say I got the set-up:
Alpine cda-9856
Rockford Fosgate 8" Subs to go in the sail's
