Default Installing a Sub

Hey Guys,

I am interested in installing a sub in my 97 firebird. Im thinking about getting one of those bazooka tubes, since they come with a amp and they dont need a box.

Also, i was looking around in the trunk of my car and i found some plug that was unused, hiding under the interier around the trunk. The plug has 7 wiring going in it and it is a 2x7 moldex conector. The wires are green, black, orange, black-white, green-white, and brown-white.

Does anyone know what this plug does?

And how do u all feel about these bazooka subs?

Also i have never installed a sub does anyone have any tips?

bazooka tubes work if you want to add a little bass to your music but not great if you want it to be loud... also make sure when you run your power wire go through the fire wall not your door jam.

Ok so i run a wire off the + of the battery then thorught a inline fuse to the power of the sub, then run the 2 RCA plugs to the input on the sub, hook up the amp remote, ground the amp to the frame, then im done?

Sounds too easy

Does any one know what the plug i mention above is for? Is it possibe that some of those wires are for the sub/amp?

All the cars have the same wiring harnesses, so if your car didn't come with a certain option then you will have an unused plug. If you search I'm sure you can find a few more.

oook soo wut option would that be? Im asking what that option could be.
I think it is for the optional cd changer, the wires are the same on back the head unit, except there is a bare wire on the head unit and there is an orange wire on the plug in the back

if it is under the rear driver side hatch trim area: plug is for stock cd changer.
if it is under the rear passengers side hatch trim area: plug is for stock amp.
