dynamat install
I took out the ttop holders and pulled up the trunk carpet to put in some dynamat and saw that there is something similar already there. Im the second owner, could this be aftermarket stuff or is it stock? It is all blank, there is one piece on the bottom and a smaller square on the vertical part towards the front.
Can I install dynamat over it? I was planning on just doing the bottom, should I do the vertical sides too?

yep. I did alot of the trunk after these pictures with Dynomat Xtreme. I'm pretty happy with it! Lots of people will tell you (or you can search) there are LOTS of different sound dampening materials (some not intended for cars) to choose from. Pick what you can work with, what you can afford, and what you can tolerate

I have xTreme. I just put one sheet in on the bottom of the trunk and up towards the rear deck about 4 inches. Trying to save weight. Went pretty well, didnt have a roller so I used a mallet. Going to do the rear wheel wells next.
