strange battery question

strange battery question so what does the car do it the battery is going out while your driving?
the other day the radio shut off, and the car sputtered, and all the dash lights came on, like it was shutting off, and then it just came back on. it did that two or three times. yesturday, i go out to start it, and the battery is dead. but it cranked over earlier in the day. no lights were left on or anything? is it just the battery's time to go?

I had something like that similar happen in my explorer. Replacing the battery solved it. If you take it to somewhere like discount or Pep Boys they'll test for you for free. If its not the battery then its a deeper issue with maybe the alternator.

Weird things can happen when the battery has low voltage/dying - gauge sweep, clicking solenoids, one click trying to start, no click - when my last one died it even popped open my rear hatch...

It turned out to be the positive post broke from the battery.
