Which amp? Punch 800.4
or
Alpine MRV F540
ME:
Alpine 7875 HU
Focal 165k2
Midbass
Image Dynamics IDQ 12 4ohm
I want to power the Focals and bridge the other channel to power the sub.
Opinions?

Re: Which amp? I have the 800A4, that pushed my sub. I let my friend use it for the same thing as what your trying to do, it worked really well. highs were very loud, 100 watts is a lot for some highs. And he was pushin some Jl sub on the other side. Sounded good!

I would go with the Punch only because you are going to use half of it to power the sub... I don't think the Alpine will have the ***** to do what you want it to do.
Also, the Rockford amp will be clean enough for your high end speakers.

Re: Which amp? If it makes u feel beter i am am planning to get some focal 165 k2s, and push them with my 800A4. I have heard a lot of RF amps for highs, and I cant sa a bad thing about them. guess thats why i am goanna keep mine. Are you going to get an external Xover?
