sub speaker help
sub speaker help Im a new member and trying to find out if there is really no speakers that we can put into the TA monsoon system as a direct replacement. Im getting yes and no from several sources.
I need some experts on what to do or part #'s to replace the 6.5 subs with.

Re: sub speaker help I haven't found any good replacements either. Our Pontiacs have dual voice coil subs in that location, each coil is 4 ohm. Running in a parallel wiring configuration, the amp is working at 2 ohms per speaker.
So, if we stick something in there with a higher ohm rating, we actually get less sound since the amp will just be working under more load.
The best option is looking like installing some 6-8" subs in there and running a seperate amp just for those.
I'm still looking for some unblown stock speakers for that location.
