Anyone put in a type of navigation system???

Anyone put in a type of navigation system??? Not sure if this should be here or in Computer Diagnostics/Tuning. Here seems more appropriate.
So i was thinking if you got a small LCD screen, maybe 3x5 or so, but where could you mount it? Has anyone else done this to theirs? Getting parts is not the problem, i just need to know where to start. I'll already have Scanmaster on the car (if that makes any difference).

Seriously though.. if you wanted on the best bet would be to have it linked to a LCD headunit with a pop out screen.. (would also control the CD, Stereo and probley DVD..)
Nav systems make me think luxury cars.. not musclecars but it would come in handy at times <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

I would say ask around in the stereo/electronic's forum, probably get more responses. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> I saw it at a show one time, although I didn't take pic's. Doh, I'm like Steve though, not the exact thing I think about when I think muscle cars. Don't really need a map to go 1/4 mile down a straight strip. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

Re: Anyone put in a type of navigation system??? My friend put a NAV/DVD setup in his 2001 SS. I beleive its an Alpine head unit with an LCD screen, the head unit is the nav system, and then he had a DVD player under the passenger seat hooked up to the Nav head unit.. Pretty badass setup.. Cost quite a bit though...
